Too good to go

In a few words : you don't like food waste? Go for this app !!

But what could it be?

Too Good To Go is a Danish mobile application that connects its users with bakeries, restaurants, supermarkets and other catering professionals in order to offer them unsold items at reduced prices in the form of baskets to save. Every day and near you, thousands of merchants offer meals at low prices on this application.

Their goal is to contribute as much as possible to the creation of a global movement against food waste. To meet this major challenge, they decided to work on 4 pillars which are built around concrete objectives. Homes

47 million tonnes of food are thrown away each year by European households, which represents more than half of food waste in the European Union. They therefore want to encourage households to take part in the fight against food waste.

Professionals

Finding solutions to reduce food waste is essential for actors in the food chain. They therefore offer their partners the opportunity to create additional profit, while introducing their business to a new clientele and asserting themselves as a committed player. Food waste occurs at all stages of the food chain and its reduction is the challenge they want to take up in the future.

Education

Education plays a major role in reducing food waste. They fight against food waste alongside schools and universities, with the aim of teaching future generations to respect our resources and preserve our planet. They are aware that knowledge and education are essential in the fight against food waste.

Politics

Reducing food waste along the production chain requires public policies and regulations both internationally and nationally. They want to drive this change and actively help to make good practices the norm, in order to build a sustainable food system. Food waste is no longer only recognized as a major problem, but also as a challenge to be solved. This growing awareness is therefore making its way onto the political agendas of an ever-growing number of countries around the world.

Here are some figures to prove to you that this application is the APPLICATION of tomorrow :

- 11.5 million users in France are already saving baskets at... - 29,960 cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, bakers, hotels (and much more!) which represents... - 37 million meals saved!

So what are you waiting for to try?
